The Go2Max system is not just about getting a programme. It is about achieving optimum improvement in the shortest amount of time through knowledge of the athlete’s past and current physical limitations matched against their expectations. I believe a properly applied system can help turn athletic limitations into athletic talents and talented athletes into champions.

Where do you think your strengths are?
Do you know of any weaknesses you would like to work on?
What do you consider a big week in terms of hours or mileage in training?
Other than training, what else are you balancing in your life, e.g. work, school, family etc?
Do you feel you are supported by those close to you?
If your commitment is long distance, can extra time off work for training be arranged 3-4 months before your primary goal of the year in order to improve your race outcome? E.g. 1 morning extra a week.
Recovery, body maintenance & injury prevention
Do you use nutritional supplements or any medication at present? List all of them including their brands. If not, would you use supplements if they helped recovery and improved your performance?
Have you ever had an injury or illness that has stopped you training, and if so, are you still bothered by it? Also, list the health provider(s) treating you for these.
Do you get regular massages? If so, how often and which massage therapist do you see? If not, does your training budget allow for regular visits every 10-14 days?
Do you have a massage roller? It helps towards keeping you injury free and maintaining suppleness in the muscles (also helps to reduce the visits to a massage therapist). If you haven’t got one would you purchase one at the cost of approx. $70?
Have you had blood lactate tests done recently to determine your cycling/running heart rate zones? If so, when was this done last? If not, are you willing to do this at a cost of approx. $130.- per test as more accuracy in getting correct training intensities can be obtained?
Have you been given professional advice with regard to correct choice of shoe? If so, when was this last done and who was the podiatrist/shoe shop?
Have you had a skeletal postural / muscle balance analysis done and have current results from this? If not, are you willing to do this at a cost of approx. $150?
